It’s National Friends of Libraries week and we are celebrating our incredible Friends group!
The proceeds from the Friends’ book shop, membership dues, and donations support the library’s Explore Pass program and has funded many other library initiatives this year, including:
Toys in the Children’s Area
Gardening supplies
Staff incentives
Pizza party for teen volunteers
Sensory-friendly items
Ghoul’s Night Out treats
and more!
Thank you to the Friends of the Whitewater Public Library for everything that you do! Interested in joining? Memberships are only $10 per year. It’s easy to sign up. Click here for more information about how to join or visit the library and ask us!
Donations are ALWAYS welcome. Your donation goes to fund materials and programs that are not covered in the library’s operational budget. You can donate by dropping off cash or a check (made out to Friends of the Whitewater Public Library) at the library’s front desk or on Venmo @FOTLWhitewater.
In addition, the Friends also accept donations of gently used books. You can drop off books at the library’s front desk. Whatever books cannot be used for the library’s collection go into the Friends’ book sale to raise funds. Come shop in the Friends’ book shop! Located just inside the library’s entrance, they offer a wonderful selection of books for all ages, with the proceeds going to a great cause!
