Whitewater Room
The Whitewater Room collection includes materials of local, historical interest including books by local authors, plat maps, city directories, and more. Part of the collection is reference (it can be viewed in the library but not checked out) and part of the collection is available for checkout.
Kraege Room
The Kraege Room is located in the staff work area, but the public has access to it. Just ask at the library’s front desk and they will show you in. There are chairs and a countertop for you to explore the materials. There is a variety of local history materials, including many binders put together by local historian Fred Kraege.

Cemeteries
Local historian Fred Kraege documented many cemeteries in addition to the three within the City of Whitewater. Binders are available for family historians to use within the library (located in the Kraege room). Through the transcription work of a dedicated library volunteer, the library has updated and corrected copies of Fred Kraege’s research on local cemeteries. The resulting work can be found at the links below:
