Various items for sensory processing and social-emotional regulation. The kit includes the following items: Weighted calming interactive book, Noise-reducing earmuffs, Gel-bead sensory shapes, Pop and play sensory dimpl, Soft and textured sensory shapes, See-inside rainsticks, Weighted butterfly lap blanket.

Phonics
Fun games and activities to teach early reading and spelling.  

My Amazing Body
The hands-on manipulatives for the heart, brain and skeleton, along with the book, “Me and My Amazing Body” will provide children with an in-depth look into the human body and create an appreciation for everything their bodies can do.

Yoga for Mindfulness
A delightful introduction to yoga and mindfulness that encourages teamwork and healthy physical activity. Designed to encourage children to experiment with basic yoga poses and build confidence using two engaging games for multiple players. 

All About Magnets
A dynamic, hands-on introduction to the fascinating powers of magnets. 

Ready Set Kindergarten
A comprehensive collection of activities and hands-on tools designed to spark curiosity while learning age-appropriate subjects. Each component will help develop problem solving and fine motor skills while having fun. 

Sounds, Music, & Band
Play along and create fun songs using the band equipment provided to encourage creative play and help children experience the fun of making music. 

Letters and Numbers
Kids will love Dr. Seuss’s ABC book, along with Alphabet Bingo and self-correcting number puzzles. Keep kids actively engaged in learning with building letters and numbers with a kid safe toy drill to tie it all together. 

Emotions & Empathy
The interactive games help build empathy and requires teamwork to win while helping children develop memory, cooperation, and shared decision-making skills. The storybook helps children identify emotions and feel more in control.

Bird Watching
Contains binoculars, bird journal, and WI bird books for adults and children.

Geocaching
Age 5 and up. Contains GPS and cold cache booklet in a backpack.

Ice Age Trail Explorer Pack
Age 5 and up. Contains 3 trail maps, wildlife scavenger hunt, trail snack recipes, compass, specimen case, clipboard, tweezers, magnifying glass, manual flashlight, binoculars, and more in a backpack. 

Night Sky Spying Telescope
Age 5 and up. Contains telescope with accessories, night sky chart, and moon map in a backpack.

Whitewater Effigy Mounds
Activity guide and information about the Mounds preserve. 

The items in these kits have been selected to spark memories, create positive feelings, and increase meaningful activity in people living with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, MCI, or other forms of memory loss. Kits check out for 3 weeks and may be renewed one time. They must be picked up and returned at the Whitewater library. You may place a hold on these items by clicking on the links below. Financial Affairs
Contains money bag, faux bills and coins, calculator, checkbook including checks, register, and deposit slips, coin counter, abacus, envelopes for bills and deposits, and ledger paper.

Assembly
Contains color wheel puzzle, straws with felt discs, endless puzzle, building sticks, wooden beads and cord.

Games
Contains Spot It! game, Find It! tube, playing cards, card holder, stacking chairs game, and scoring beads.

Sewing
Contains pin cushion with pins and needles, button jar with buttons, hem gauge, seam ripper, fabric scissors, measuring tape, diamond pattern, heart pattern, thread, trims, and fasteners.

Planting
Contains protective tarp, artificial soil in airtight container, metal planter, clay pot, three planting tools, faux seeds in packet, four succulents, three plant decorations.

Kitchen
Contains shopping list, cookbook, towel, dish scrubber, wooden spoons, spatula, mixing bowls, measuring cups, measuring spoons, flour sifter, scent sticks.
